Hello everyone,
On June 14th we will experience a new moon in Gemini, the zodiac sign associated with the Twins, an energy of duality and paradox. Gemini is a mutable air sign, bringing the qualities of flexibility and adaptation to thought process and personal interactions. Geminis can be extremely funny and witty, charming, and adaptable. They can also be changeable and flighty.
Unlike every new moon for the last six months, this one, at 24 degrees of Gemini, is quite neutral. Gemini energy relates to sharing ideas, to all forms of communication, and a time of heightened curiosity. Aside from a favorable sextile from Chiron, and two semi-sextiles, minor irritations, from Mars and Jupiter, not much is happening with on the day of the new moon. Use this lunation by germinating seed ideas for new projects, planning social gatherings, and enjoying new mental connections during the next two weeks. However, there are lots of other important planetary events coming up.
On June 19, 2026, Chiron enters Taurus for the first time since March of 1977 where it will stay until May 2034. Because Taurus relates to security, resources, personal values, and self-worth, we are likely to see more focus in our personal lives on these issues. Transits of Chiron often help us to see our own problems more clearly, so they can be healed.
On June 21, 2026, we welcome the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year. Summer begins as the Sun leaves the airy, dry, mental energy of Gemini for the lush, rich, emotional, and watery energy of Cancer. I urge you to enjoy your time outdoors by lakes and rivers, the long warm balmy evenings, and the growing and ripening of flowers and vegetables in the garden.
Jupiter, the great benefic, will enter Leo on June 30. For the rest of June Jupiter travels with Venus. This continued close contact with two extremely favorable planets, Venus and Jupiter, reminds us to nurture ourselves and others, have fun, be creative and enjoy our family and friends. If you have planets or angles in Leo, think back to late 2014, early 2015, when this last happened. What kinds of opportunities, personal growth, travel, or studies might have improved your life back then? Something similar is afoot very soon. From early July 2026 through late July 2027, the planet of expansion and opportunity will offer you new possibilities.
On another note, watch out for Mercury Retrograde June 29-July 23. Be extra careful when making plans, with travel, and all forms of communication.
